Manila: At least six persons were killed while 57 others were hurt in a collision between a passenger bus and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Majayjay, Laguna province.In a report on Monday, the Majayjay Municipal Station said the mishap occurred along a road in Barangay Bakia at around 3:25 p.m. Sunday.An APR Transportation bus coming from Lucban, Quezon was traversing the curved downhill portion of the road when it collided with a Hyundai SUV traveling in the opposite direction. The bus then rammed into a tree after wrecking the SUV.The Majayjay Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) said the still unidentified fatalities include five adults and a boy who is estimated to be between 10 to 15 years old.Rescuers, meanwhile, brought the injured victims to several hospitals.The police are now investigating the cause of the crash.Source: Philippines News Agency
