Vientiane: Party Secretary General and State President Thongloun Sisoulith recently welcomed young Party leaders from border provinces of Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia, who are attending the third special training programme in Vientiane from July 8 to 15.
According to Lao News Agency, Comrade Thongloun expressed appreciation for the training programme aimed at young cadres from the three Parties of Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. The Lao People’s Revolutionary Party is hosting the programme following an agreement among top Party leaders of the three nations.
Thongloun commended the young delegates for their active exchange of ideas on socio-economic development, tourism, culture, and other sectors. He highlighted that these exchanges contribute to the countries’ development and strengthen their traditional friendship, solidarity, and cooperation.
The Secretary General likened the bond among Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia to a three-legged cooking stand, illustrating the inseparable nature of their relationship. He emphasized that their unity and friendship are crucial assets that have supported past national liberation efforts and remain key to current national development.
Comrade Thongloun also discussed national development achievements related to the country’s strategic agendas and the outcomes of the 10th Plenary Session of the Party Central Committee. He urged the young leaders to build upon the unity among the three Parties and nations.
He encouraged young Party leaders to continue fostering cooperation, ensuring the solidarity among the Indochinese nations grows stronger. Their efforts, he noted, are vital for maintaining and advancing the friendship among the three Parties, governments, and peoples.
At the meeting’s conclusion, young leaders from Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia expressed gratitude to Comrade Thongloun for his warm reception and guidance, committing to applying his advice in their roles to enhance trilateral cooperation.
