Vientiane: The Lao PDR has expressed its concern regarding the ongoing dispute between Cambodia and Thailand. Being an immediate neighbour sharing borders with both countries, the Lao PDR has called on both parties to exercise restraint and refrain from the use of force. The statement emphasized the importance of maintaining a spirit of amity and friendship as ASEAN Member States.According to Lao News Agency, the Lao PDR urged Cambodia and Thailand to resume the implementation of the Kuala Lumpur Joint Declaration, which was signed by both parties on 26 October 2025. The statement highlighted the need for both countries to make use of existing mechanisms to find a solution through peaceful means.
