According to Lao News Agency, the message conveyed sorrow over the incident involving a train traveling from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani, which occurred on the morning of January 14, 2026. The incident resulted in fatalities and injuries, prompting the Lao minister to express condolences on behalf of his ministry and himself to the Thai Government and the affected families.
