Phnom penh: Candidates for the 10th National Assembly and the 5th Provincial People's Council representing Constituency 4 gathered in La District on Monday to engage with district officials. They aimed to present their profiles and policy priorities ahead of the scheduled elections on February 22.
According to Lao News Agency, the meeting took place at the La District Hall and was attended by Ms. Vilavone Phanthavong, Vice Head of the Party Central Committee's Propaganda and Training Board, along with candidates for both the National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council. The candidates used this opportunity to outline their professional backgrounds and proposed plans of action, emphasizing their commitment to serve the interests of the people if elected.
Ms. Vilavone Phanthavong urged district officials to maintain a strong sense of political responsibility by thoroughly reviewing the candidates' qualifications. She also encouraged them to guide citizens in making informed choices at the polls. Additionally, officials were urged to play a significant role in mobilizing eligible voters to participate in the election process in an orderly and lawful manner.
