Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith and Spouse Participate in Vientiane Capital Elections

Vientiane: Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith, along with his spouse, participated in the electoral process by casting their votes at the Phon Sinuan Village Office polling station in Sisattanak District, Vientiane Capital. This event marked the elections for the 10th National Assembly and the 5th Vientiane Capital People's Council.

According to Lao News Agency, the voting process witnessed significant public engagement, with Party and state leaders joining citizens from various ethnic backgrounds across the nation to exercise their democratic rights. The elections were conducted in an orderly, peaceful, and transparent manner.

Phon Sinuan Village managed two polling stations, catering to 1,496 eligible voters, of which 813 were women. A total of 1,082 voters participated, including 615 women. Specifically, the Village Office polling station saw 539 voters, with 318 being women, while the primary school polling station recorded 543 voters, including 297 women.

In the context of Vientiane Capital's Constituency No. 1, a total of 25 candidates are vying for 19 seats in the 10th National Assembly. Additionally, in Sisattanak District's constituency, 7 candidates are competing for 5 seats in the 5th Vientiane Capital People's Council.
