Champasak: Champasak Province secured the gold medal in the Men’s Double Sepaktakraw event at the 12th National Games after defeating Savannakhet Province in a closely contested final.

According to Lao News Agency, the final match concluded with a 2-1 victory for the Champasak team, confirming their prowess in the doubles format. In the semi-finals, Champasak triumphed over the team from the Ministry of Public Security with a 2-1 score, while Savannakhet overcame the Ministry of National Defence by the same margin.

Both the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defence were awarded bronze medals as semi-finalists.

The victory represents a notable achievement for Champasak Province, showcasing their capability in one of Laos’ most traditional sports.
