Kuala lumpur: Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, is set to lead the Lao delegation to the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and associated ministerial meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 8 to 11 July 2025.

According to Lao News Agency, these significant meetings will take place under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship for 2025, operating with the central theme of ‘Inclusivity and Sustainability.’ This theme aims to address critical regional issues and foster collaboration among ASEAN member states.

On the sidelines of the event, Minister Phomvihane is anticipated to engage in bilateral discussions with his counterparts from other ASEAN member states and dialogue partners. These meetings are expected to strengthen diplomatic ties and promote mutual cooperation within the Southeast Asian region.
