(KPL) Laos recorded over 2.10 million foreign visitors over the past nine months, an increase of 26 per cent year on year, according to the Department of Tourism Development, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.The number included 1.23 million visitors from ASEAN (accounting for 58.5 per cent of the market share), 688,000 from Asia Pacific (representing a 32.6 per cent), 129,000 from Europe (6.1 per cent), and 52,200 from the Americas (accounting for 2.48 per cent).Among tourists from ASEAN markets, Thais shared the majority of over 680,000 accounting for 32.25 per cent of the total number contributed by the region.Source: Lao News Agency
