Vientiane: Malaithong Kommasith, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, recently received Krongkanit Rakcharoen, the newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, highlighting the importance of fostering stronger economic ties between the two nations.

According to Lao News Agency, the meeting was marked by Minister Malaithong's congratulatory remarks to Ambassador Rakcharoen on her new role and his emphasis on the robust and growing relationship between Laos and Thailand. The discussions focused on enhancing cross-border trade and leveraging strategic sectors such as energy, mining, and fuel to boost bilateral trade value.

Both officials underscored the significance of promoting technical cooperation through the Thailand International Cooperation Agency, aiming to support human resource development and expertise exchange. The Thai Ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and reiterated her dedication to collaborating with Lao counterparts to achieve mutual benefits.
