Justice Minister Engages with Ambassadors Before Overseas Assignments

Vientiane: Minister of Justice Phayvy Sibualipha recently met with newly appointed Lao Ambassadors who are set to take up positions in Japan, Singapore, Australia, Austria, Brunei, and ASEAN. The gathering aimed to discuss enhancing international cooperation within the justice sector.

According to Lao News Agency, the meeting served as a platform for exchanging guidance on improving bilateral and multilateral partnerships between Laos and the respective host countries, with a focus on legal and judicial affairs. During the discussions, Minister Phayvy expressed his congratulations to the Ambassadors, highlighting the significance of promoting Laos’ justice sector on an international level.

He urged the Ambassadors to actively seek international support and collaboration to further develop Laos’ legal frameworks and cross-border judicial cooperation. The Minister concluded by wishing the Ambassadors success in their upcoming missions and a safe journey. As a gesture of support, he presented them with legal reference books to aid in their diplomatic duties.
