Pyongyang: Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum on July 26 on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of victory in the war.
According to Lao News Agency, Kim Jong Un was accompanied by members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and other leading officials from the Party, government, and armed forces organs. The visit was also attended by chief secretaries of provincial Party committees and leading officials from various ministries and national agencies.
A flower basket was laid in the name of Kim Jong Un before the statue of President Kim Il Sung. Additionally, flower baskets were laid in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, and the Cabinet of the DPRK. Kim Jong Un paid tribute to President Kim Il Sung, honoring him as an eternal symbol of the mightiness and dignity of Juche Korea.
During the visit, Kim Jong Un toured the Halls of the Four Stages of the Fatherland Liberation War, the Guards Units Hall, and the Hall of Victory. He remarked on the significance of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, attributing it to the military strategies and leadership of President Kim Il Sung, as well as the patriotism and spirit of the army and people united around the President.
Kim Jong Un emphasized that the achievements of President Kim Il Sung in securing victory in the war have laid the foundations for the state’s continuing victories and dignity. He noted that the legacy of the war victory, forged during the conflict, remains a cornerstone for the ongoing revolutionary traditions and future socialist construction.
The historic leadership of President Kim Il Sung during the war is regarded as vital ideological and spiritual wealth that the Party and people are urged to carry forward and honor for generations.
