Hanoi: Lao students have achieved a significant milestone by securing third prize at a singing competition held in Vietnam. The event was organized to commemorate the 136th birth anniversary of Ho Chi Minh and the 115th anniversary of his departure to seek a path for national salvation.

According to Lao News Agency, this year marked the first participation of Lao students in the competition, with 37 representatives joining under the leadership of the Lao Student Committee for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Lao team showcased traditional Lao arts and culture through music and dance performances that highlighted unity, prosperity, and the long-standing friendship between Laos and Vietnam. Their performance earned them third prize in the competition.

Officials remarked that the achievement reflects the growing confidence and capabilities of Lao students studying abroad, while also strengthening the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam. The event also provided Lao students with an opportunity to participate in an important cultural and historical celebration for both the university and Vietnam.
