Vientiane: The Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union officially launched the 2025 Lao Youth Festival on June 25 at the old building of Lao-ITECC. The event will run until June 29 under the theme: ‘New-era Youth Elevating Digital Innovation.’
According to Lao News Agency, the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union officially launched the 2025 Lao Youth Festival on June 25 at the old building of Lao-ITECC. The event will run until June 29 under the theme: ‘New-era Youth Elevating Digital Innovation.’
Mr. Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, President of the Lao Front for National Construction, and Mr. Boviengkham Vongdala, Minister of Technology and Communications, led the opening ceremony. Other guests included deputy ministers, ambassadors, and youth leaders.
Mr. Monxay Laomoasong, Secretary of the Youth Union and chairman of the festival, stated that the event supports the Party’s directions, government policies, and the Youth Development Strategy 2021-2030. He noted that the festival provides young people from all ethnic groups the opportunity to share ideas, build digital knowledge, and celebrate youth contributions.
The event also marks the Union’s 70th anniversary and prepares for the upcoming 9th National Youth Congress. It features exhibitions, youth-led product displays, forums, live shows, essay contests, sports for children, art competitions, and a blood drive.
Mr. Monxay expressed that the goal is to create favorable conditions to nurture young people into skilled and responsible leaders for the future.
