LTO Reports P22.5-B Revenues, On Track To Hit 2025 Target

Manila: In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure efficiency in government operations, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has collected over PHP22.5 billion in revenues from January to August. LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II said the revenue collection is due to the aggressive implementation of policy reforms, especially on motor vehicle registration and the strict implementation of road safety regulations.

According to Philippines News Agency, Mendoza highlighted that with the rate of their monthly revenue collection, they are on the right track to achieve their PHP34 billion collection target for this year. Last year, Mendoza increased the revenue collection target after implementing policy reforms aimed at improving services and maximizing collection goals. He emphasized the significance of enhancing the collection as the funds turned over to the National Treasury are used for various programs and projects, including those that benefit the poor.

Mendoza also credited the efficient revenue collections to LTO personnel on the ground, acknowledging their hard work and diligence. He expressed his gratitude for their services to the LTO and to the Filipino people, noting that since assuming the top LTO post, he has been working to address contractualization as a way of rewarding dedicated personnel and boosting the morale of the agency.
