MANILA: Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized nearly PHP7 million worth of marijuana in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Thursday night.In a report sent to the Philippine News Agency, NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez said Brenjie Oberez, 42, was arrested along Saint Mary Street corner New York Street in Barangay E. Rodriguez, Cubao at about 10:30 p.m.Seized from Oberez were about 58 kg. of suspected dried marijuana leaves and stalks with an estimated street value of PHP6.96 million.Nartatez said the suspect was brought to the Quezon City Police Station and would face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.Source: Philippines News agency
