National Assembly Candidates Engage with Voters at Agriculture Ministry

Vientiane: Candidates for the 10th National Assembly representing Constituency 1 of Vientiane Capital (Group 3) met with voters at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on February 10. The initiative was part of a campaign to engage directly with constituents ahead of the upcoming nationwide general election.

According to Lao News Agency, the delegation was led by Viengkeo Vannachack, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Members Affairs Committee; Somphien Vongxay, a member of the Standing Committee of the Vientiane People's Council and Chairperson of its Justice and National Defence-Peacekeeping Committee; and Nath Thepphavong, Deputy Chief of Command and Head of the Military Logistics Department of Vientiane Capital.

The candidates received a warm welcome from Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Chanthanet Boualapha, along with ministry officials and civil servants. During the meeting, the candidates took the opportunity to introduce their backgrounds and experience, as well as their policy priorities. They outlined their vision for national development, aiming to provide voters with a clear understanding of their commitments and plans.

The meeting was designed to help voters become more acquainted with the candidates, thereby enabling them to make informed decisions in the general election scheduled for February 22, 2026.
