Vientiane: Mr. Bounleua Phandanouvong has been elected as Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and Head of the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations.
According to Lao News Agency, an announcement ceremony took place in Vientiane on August 12, attended by Party Central Committee Secretary and Vice President of the National Assembly Sounthone Xayachak, along with representatives from Party organisations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other relevant officials.
During the ceremony, Sounthone Xayachak congratulated Mr. Bounleua Phandanouvong on his new appointment. She emphasized that his election is a testament to the trust the Politburo and the Party Central Committee Secretariat have in him. His hard work and dedication in fulfilling his political duties over the years were highlighted as key factors that led to his new leadership role.
