PH Flag Carrier Earns APEX’s 4-Star Major Airline Rating

Manila: Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has been awarded the 2026 Four Star Major Airline rating by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), in recognition of its service excellence, passenger care, and safety standards. The award was given during a ceremony in California this month.

According to Philippines News Agency, PAL chief operating officer Carlos Luis Fernandez expressed that being recognized by APEX, the world’s leading airline industry association, is a significant milestone for the airline. Fernandez stated that the trust and confidence of travelers inspire PAL to further elevate its service standards, as the airline remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of service for the welfare of its passengers across its global network.

The APEX Four-Star Major Airline rating places PAL among the carriers that consistently deliver excellence across several touchpoints, including cabin comfort, cleanliness, food and beverage, inflight entertainment, connectivity, and customer service. This recognition underscores PAL’s dedication to providing a superior passenger experience.

In addition to this accolade, Philippine Airlines previously won the 2025 Flyers’ Choice Award as the second most preferred airline in Southeast Asia. The airline was also named a 2024 LinkedIn Talent Awardee for Best Employer Brand and was ranked as the number 1 On-time Airline in the Asia Pacific region by Cirium last August.
