Kuala lumpur: In response to the invitation of Mr. Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, together with his spouse and delegation, will attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits to be held under the theme ‘Inclusivity and Sustainability’ on October 26-28, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with Malaysia serving as the ASEAN Chair.

According to Lao News Agency, the summit will focus on the theme of ‘Inclusivity and Sustainability,’ highlighting the collaborative efforts of ASEAN member states to address regional challenges. The event will also provide a platform for leaders to discuss various issues impacting the region and to strategize for future cooperation.
