Russia’s Grain Harvest Reaches 119 Million Tons Since Start of 2025

Moscow: Since the beginning of 2025, Russia’s grain harvest has totaled 119 million tons, while the year-end forecast of 135 million tons remains unchanged, Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut said.

According to Lao News Agency, the Minister highlighted that the harvest is now entering its final stage, with three-quarters of the sown areas for grain and leguminous crops already harvested. The pace of harvesting is currently ahead of last year’s level, with approximately 86 million tons of wheat included in the total. The average yield and quality of the grain are reported to be higher than the previous year.

The Minister further explained that despite challenging weather conditions in the south, the results in other federal districts allow for expectations of a solid harvest. The forecasts remain firm, with an anticipated harvest of 135 million tons of grain and around 90 million tons of wheat. This volume is deemed sufficient to fully meet the country’s domestic needs and ensure a strong export potential.
