Vientiane: The grand opening ceremony of the Thatluang Festival 2025 took place on November 1, 2025, in Vientiane. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune, alongside diplomatic guests and government officials.
According to Lao News Agency, the Tourism Malaysia booth was a significant attraction at the festival, drawing the attention of many visitors, including the Deputy Prime Minister and members of the diplomatic corps. The booth featured activities and promotions designed to enhance tourism connections between Malaysia and Laos.
At the Tourism Malaysia booth, visitors were able to explore Malaysia’s premier travel destinations and tourism offerings. They could also purchase or inquire about special tour packages to Malaysia. Additionally, visitors participated in interactive games and quizzes, with the chance to win prizes. A photo corner with Malaysian-themed backgrounds was available for guests to capture memories, and by sharing their photos on Facebook with specific tags, they received exclusive souvenirs from Tourism Malaysia.
