Vice President Pany Yathortou Bids Farewell to Indonesian Ambassador

Vientiane: Vice President of the Lao PDR, Pany Yathortou, received a farewell call from Indonesian Ambassador to Laos, Grata Endah Werdaningtyas, at the Presidential Palace on 24 February 2026, marking the successful completion of her diplomatic tenure.

According to Lao News Agency, during the meeting, Vice President Pany welcomed the Ambassador and appreciated her achievements throughout her mission. She acknowledged the Ambassador's contributions to strengthening the bilateral relationship between Laos and Indonesia.

The Vice President highlighted the steady development in friendly ties and cooperation between the two nations across several sectors. She praised the Ambassador's role over the past two years in facilitating significant progress in high-level exchanges, educational and economic cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges, which have bolstered relations between the two countries. Additionally, the Vice President noted the continued mutual support within ASEAN and various international frameworks.

Ambassador Grata Endah Werdaningtyas expressed her gratitude for the hospitality extended by the Vice President. She also thanked the Government of the Lao PDR and all relevant sectors for their support and cooperation, which she described as crucial to her successful diplomatic mission in Laos.
