Vientiane: At the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, will lead a high-level delegation of government and business representatives to attend the 10th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia, from September 3-6, 2025.
According to Lao News Agency, the forum, held under the theme ‘The Far Eastern: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity’, aims to provide a platform for governments, politicians, business leaders, and experts to exchange views on strengthening cooperation and addressing global challenges. The event seeks to foster dialogue and collaboration among nations to enhance economic development and ensure peaceful relations.
During the visit, the Lao Prime Minister is set to deliver remarks at a plenary session alongside President Putin, addressing a wide range of issues pertinent to both nations. Additionally, Mr. Siphandone will attend and chair the Lao PDR-Russia Business Forum, which is organized in parallel with the main conference. This business forum aims to promote cooperation between the business communities of both countries, with a particular focus on expanding economic and trade ties.
The participation of enterprises from Laos and Russia is expected to be robust, signaling a mutual interest in strengthening bilateral economic relationships. The forum represents an opportunity for both nations to explore new avenues for collaboration, enhancing their economic partnership and contributing to regional prosperity.
