Vientiane: The high-level leadership of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, led by Prime Minister Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, attended a condolence book signing ceremony at the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane. This event was held to express grief over the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Thailand and mother of His Majesty King Rama X.

According to Lao News Agency, on this occasion, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone laid a wreath and signed the condolence book, conveying the deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy of the Lao government and people. His message expressed the deepest condolences on behalf of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, describing her as a ‘Great Mother’ and a close friend who showed virtue and kindness toward the Lao people.

The participation of Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone highlighted the Lao PDR’s respect and the enduring friendship between the Lao and Thai peoples, as well as the shared mourning for a revered monarch.
