Khammouane: a training session was conducted on February 4, 2026, for candidates vying for positions in the 10th National Assembly (NA) and the 5th Khammouane Provincial People's Council (PPC) in Constituency No. 12.
According to Lao News Agency, the session was led by Bounmy Phimmasone, President of the Khammouane Provincial People's Council and Vice President of the Provincial Election Committee. It saw participation from all candidates and relevant officials.
Mr. Bounmy Phimmasone emphasized the significance of the training in helping candidates enhance their understanding of the responsibilities, roles, rights, and duties of National Assembly and Provincial People's Council members. The session elucidated key aspects of the Politburo's Resolution No. 26, as well as guidance from the National Election Committee and relevant legal provisions on electoral principles, campaigning, and voter engagement to ensure adherence to established regulations.
Participants also discussed skills, content, and methods of election campaigning, aiming to enable comprehensive and thorough preparation. The training seeks to ensure cohesive, effective, and successful campaign activities for the upcoming election on February 22, 2026, aligning with the set objectives.
