Vientiane:President of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Sonexay Siphandone, will undertake an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from November 2 to 5, 2026. This visit comes at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart, Tran Thanh Man.

According to Lao News Agency, Mr. Siphandone, who is also a Member of the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, will be joined by his spouse and a high-level delegation from the National Assembly of Lao PDR.

The visit is intended to bolster the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic partnership between Laos and Vietnam. It also seeks to enhance collaboration between the legislative bodies of the two nations.

Additionally, the visit is anticipated to deepen the ties between the two countries' Parties, States, and peoples, fostering closer cooperation and achieving more practical outcomes in their bilateral relations.
