Vientiane: Mr. Nanthalath Keopaseuth, Deputy Managing Director of Banque pour le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public (BCEL), participated in a prominent panel discussion during the ‘VISA Digital Transformation Forum 2025,’ held at the Souphattra Hotel in Vientiane Capital.

According to Lao News Agency, the forum, organized by VISA, convened leading experts from the financial and technology sectors to share insights, exchange experiences, and explore strategies to drive digital payment innovation and support the development of the digital economy in the Lao PDR. The event also showcased VISA’s ongoing collaboration with the Lao government to promote digital transformation nationwide.

Mr. Nanthalath Keopaseuth took part in the panel discussion titled ‘Future of Payments – The Path to a Digital Nation,’ where he shared BCEL’s vision and key initiatives for advancing digital financial services in Laos. He was joined on the panel by Mr. Suliyo Vongdala, CEO of LOCA Company, and Ms. Dung Dang, Director of VISA for Vietnam and the Lao PDR.

The session highlighted the critical role of digital infrastructure, innovative payment technologies, and public-private partnerships in accelerating the shift toward a more inclusive, accessible, and efficient digital economy.
