Vientiane: The Lao Foreign Minister has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extensive property damage caused by a recent earthquake in the southern Philippines. He extended heartfelt sympathy to the Government and people of the Philippines, particularly to the bereaved families and those affected by the disaster.

According to Lao News Agency, on behalf of the Government and people of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Foreign Minister conveyed sincere condolences. He expressed confidence that, under the leadership of the Philippine Government, the Filipino people would overcome the challenges posed by the disaster and achieve a swift recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas.
