Vientiane: Lao diplomatic missions in China and France have extended their congratulations to Vietnam on the occasion of its National Day. On August 27, representatives from the Lao embassies visited the Vietnamese embassies and representative agencies in their respective host countries to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day. This gesture underscores the enduring friendship and strong ties between Laos and Vietnam.
According to Lao News Agency, Lao Ambassador to China, Somphone Sichaleune, praised the remarkable achievements of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people over the past 80 years. He reaffirmed the steadfast support and cooperation between the two nations throughout history, emphasizing the rare nature of such relations in the international arena. Sichaleune expressed gratitude for Vietnam's significant contributions to Laos's socio-economic development and acknowledged Vietnam's development model as a valuable reference for Laos.
Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh highlighted the essential role of Lao solidarity and support in Vietnam's victory during the August Revolution. Binh emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the unique friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the two nations for future generations. Both sides agreed to enhance collaboration and exchanges between their embassies in China to further strengthen Vietnam-Laos relations.
In France, Lao Ambassador Kham-Inh Khitchadeth sent warm congratulations to the Vietnamese Party, State, and people, recognizing Vietnam's National Day as a significant event for both countries. Khitchadeth acknowledged Laos's learning from Vietnam's socio-economic successes and expressed gratitude for Vietnam's invaluable support. Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang expressed hope for continued progress and shared achievements between the two nations in the years to come.
