Sydney: Laos’ peace, stability, and prosperity today are owed in large part to the deep, sincere, and wholehearted support and cooperation from Vietnam, said Lao Ambassador to Australia Chatoulong Bouasisavath. Leading a delegation to the Vietnamese Embassy in Sydney on August 22, he extended congratulations on the occasion of Vietnam’s 80th National Day (September 2). The ambassador applauded the Party, State, and people of Vietnam on their achievements over the past eight decades and emphasized the significance of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.
According to Lao News Agency, the ambassador highlighted that despite the global challenges affecting socio-economic conditions and people’s livelihoods, the Vietnamese and Lao governments and people remain determined to stand side by side, supporting each other. This determination exemplifies the bond of comradeship and brotherhood, as well as the tradition of mutual assistance between the two countries.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam expressed satisfaction with the important achievements in development and international integration by the Lao Party, State, and people. He also lauded the remarkable outcomes of Vietnam-Laos cooperation across various fields. He noted that Laos’ decision to send a military delegation to join the parade celebrating Vietnam’s 80th National Day is a vivid manifestation of the bilateral special solidarity.
Tam expressed his hope for tighter coordination and mutual support between the two embassies, contributing to the enhancement of relations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs. He also emphasized the importance of promoting more effective cooperation with Australia and within regional and multilateral frameworks.
